Wanderlust Festival Squaw Valley

I am very pleased to be heading to Squaw Valley as a part of the Wanderlust Festival in North Tahoe! I will be speaking on how to be mindful with your self image in a image-obsessed and perfection based society. I will be teaching two different sessions:

Saturday, July 22nd: Healthy is the New Skinny- Your Guide To Self-Love in a "Picture Perfect" World

In this session, I will be discussing my book and giving prime examples of media manipulation and how we can protect ourselves against it to create a healthy sense of self.

Sunday, July 23rd: Creating Positive and Fearless Social Media

I will discuss how to be conscious consumers and creators of social media content and how to process the information in our feeds in a healthy way!

Free Online Conscious Eating Summit

I've teamed up with Dr. Nancy Cromwell and over 20 health experts for the Conscious Eating Summit. This FREE online summit will include a series of talks and interviews discussing how to balance hormones and manage stress naturally to help you reach your health goals.

I will be chatting Nancy on the different areas of health that often go neglected and how to create a balanced lifestyle. 

My interview goes live Saturday, July 22nd and will be available to view until July 24th. There will also be a replay period July 26-28th!

G.I.R.L 2017- National Girl Scouts Convention

Join me for a 40 minute break out session at the National Girl Scouts Convention on October 7, 2017! I will be talking about creating a healthy and authentic sense of self to girls of all and teaching how to identify and protect against harmful media advertising tactics.

G.I.R.L. 2017 is a one-of-a-kind gathering of girls and women from around the world. Girl Scouts is taking the lead by working with high school girls across the nation to plan the multiday event for all girls and those who care about them. The event will bring together more than 10,000 people—Girl Scout members, supporters, speakers, entertainers, and exhibitors—to inspire girls to get active in their communities and build a better world.

Self-Love Celebration with Children's Hospital LA

We've teamed up with CHLA's MyVOICE Transition program to help teach and instill self-love and confidence to chronically-ill patients. Through this 10-week program, we were able to provide the opportunity for 7 girls to learn about body-image, health, and media manipulation. 

Join us as we celebrate health and love and we conclude our self-love course in partnership with Children's Hospital LA! Katie will be giving a presentation on self-love and body image in addition to sharing the stories of our program participants.

The event will take place inside the Anderson Pavilion Conference and Education Center  - John Stauffer Conference Room. Guest must acquire a visitor's badge upon entering. 

Event is FREE, but we encourage attendees to make a donation to the program.

Join us for a book club style conversation and workshop on how to foster a healthy and mindful relationship with your body! Nerdstrong Gym will be hosting me to discuss my book, Healthy is the New Skinny: Your Guide to Self-Love in a "Picture Perfect" World.

I will help facilitate small focus groups so that we can discuss topics surrounding body image and how it is limiting us as a society!

Girl Gang Hang: FREE Bootcamp with @KeepGoingKat

We are excited to announce that our first Girl Gang Hang of the year will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2016 at 9:00am in Claremont, CA!

Join us with @KeepGoingKat for an amazing and free Saturday Bootcamp! The class lasts 35-40 min and is a bootcamp perfect for all levels. The workout is a combination of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and circuit training and finishes with booty blasters and a short yoga flow. Bring a yoga mat, water and be ready to sweat! All are welcome. Class is 100% free. 

We meet at the South-west corner of Memorial Park in Claremont, Ca.  Free street parking is available on 8th street and limited spots are available in the parking lot.

As the CEO of Healthy is the New Skinny and Natural Model Management, Katie will be discussing how to take on the fear of failure when building a business. Katie will discuss ways female entrepreneurs can overcome the social anxiety that comes with building a brand and give key points to remember when fearing failure, and judgement from others.
